Problem: Gordon Food Service's marketing team was bogged down forwarding email orders from their various US locations to Express Signs. They wanted a way for the their various locations to order from one place, but have it be easy, pre-quoted for their billing team, and ensure everything brand-approved by default so orders don't have to be reviewed (and bottlenecked) by corporate review. Express Signs needed these as well to improve the client experience and encourage orders, but also to avoid quoting manually, and speed up order intake by having orders import automatically into ShopVOX (their OMS).
Solution: After investigating different ShopVOX storefront options for maximum compatibility, I planned and implemented a custom GFS-branded shop embedded into a landing page on Express Sign's WooCommerce website. The store pulled live pricing from ShopVOX, and when the client placed a purchase order, it imported as a ready-to-go sales order in ShopVOX. I coordinated with GFS on what to include, planned the store structure for ease of use, created all the graphics, and onboarded their various location's managers in the new system to make sure everyone knew how to order.
Result: With the ordering process streamlined, GFS placed bigger and more frequent orders, resulting in an extra ~$18,000 in sales annually for Express Signs. Staff time shifted from revolving around quoting repeat orders to providing GFS with faster service, and expanded offerings.

Problem: Sterling Group frequently builds new apartment complexes and Mini Storage Depot locations, needing signage for their whole properties. In addition to needing detailed mockups of the new signs, they needed someone to handle the quoting, ordering, and scheduling of the sign fabrication and installs.
Solution: Starting with architecture plans, site maps, and examples of past sign packets, creating NEW sign packets detailing quantities, variants, sign specs, suggested install locations, and sometimes creating install maps to streamline install.
This included reviewing project details, communicating missing / conflicting information, working with 3rd-party companies for fabrication quotes and install coordination, reviewing sign ordinances, filing permits, communicating updates, and troubleshooting any install issues to ensure on-time, on budget project completion.
Result: Completion of sign projects for over 30 Sterling Group-owned apartments and Mini Storage Depots nationwide from 2019 to 2025.
Attached is an example of one of the work in progress sign packets, to show detailed info, mockups, but also communication when info was missing.
